On Thursday February 17th, some of the Epsilon brothers invited members of the Sigma and Phi Challenge to attend the Columbus Blue Jackets Game against the Winnipeg Jets. Although down by a goal after the first period, the Blue Jackets pulled out a win with a tying goal in the second period and an outstanding performance in the third period to pull away with the dub. The game concluded with a final score of 3-1. The journey to Nationwide arena definitely tested some of our brother’s resiliency as it was pouring rain in Columbus when they departed from the chapter house. Huddled under a single umbrella at the bus stop, the brothers rejoiced as they saw an oncoming bus in the distance. Sadly, that bus was not on the route they needed. After a little while of cracking jokes, the right bus finally came. For most of the brothers, it was the first time they had ever ridden a COTA bus. Entering the stadium, the brothers could not resist the free socks that were being given away, which later played a key role in the sock puppet show put on by brothers during intermissions. All in all, the brothers enjoyed interacting in the exciting atmosphere and taking part in the theatrics of the arena despite falling short of their goal to be on the jumbotron. Better luck next time brothers. Go Blue Jackets!
